Premiere “Ijsbeer in de Tropen” 15 November

(1) IJSBEER PosterA3_zonder_randTogether with Lindai Boogerman (of Sesamestreet fame), I’ve created a new puppet/object theatre piece after the book “Ijsbeer in de Tropen” (Ice bear in the jungle)” of Hans de Beer.

With only everyday objects and a few stuffed animals, and with barely any language, the accidental travel of the young ice-bear from the north-pole to the tropics and back is being told. The piece is about both the feeling of going on adventure and the longing for home.

The show features the Genetic Choir singing all natural soundtracks (pole winds, storms, waves/beach, jungle+apes) and a Whale Song composed and sung by me.  🙂

Premiere is on 15 November 2015 in the Amstelveens Poppentheater, at 14:30.

Wolfert van Borsselenweg 85a
1181 PH Amstelveen

The piece is intended for children from 3 years upward.  Dutch language skills not required. Reserve tickets here.

The show will tour the Netherlands in the next few months and visit a.o. Nijmegen, Almere, Schaijk, Rotterdam, Hoogeveen, Leeuwaarden, Ijmuiden, Almelo, Dordrecht, Hoofddorp, Hoorn, and Amsterdam again end of January as part of the Prentenboekfestival.
